Town of Westford

Over the past 7 years, EMC has worked closely with the Town of Westford, MA. In addition to a 4 phase lighting upgrade covering all 10 public schools, EMC was also contracted to complete a 4 phase lighting upgrade covering 8 of their town buildings.

The savings realized by upgrading to LED, both inside and out, were significant, totaling close to 575,000 kilo watt hours per year! This equates to a substantial decrease in electric costs along with a gain in several environmental impacts. The Town of Westford, MA has helped reduce carbon emissions by 351 tons.

Working with EMC as a Project Expeditor with National Grid, the town was able to secure and benefit from a commercial/industrial incentive of nearly $170,000.00. The town has also participated in the Green Community funds for the past several years, enabling them to complete many energy saving projects.
