After earning his BA from the University of Southern Maine, Tom built a career focused on energy reduction and facility improvement. For nearly 18 years, he specialized in developing and implementing more than $80 million in energy and operational solutions across the K–12, state, healthcare, higher education, and municipal markets. His project experience includes HVAC/R upgrades; biomass systems utilizing woodchip and pellet fuels; solar thermal and photovoltaic installations; advanced energy management system controls; roofing and window replacements; comprehensive lighting solutions; water conservation measures; central plant improvements; steam-to-hot-water conversions; and building envelope enhancements.
In 2021, Tom assumed leadership of EMC as President, where he provides strategic direction and operational oversight for the company. In this role, he is responsible for business development, project delivery, financial performance, and team leadership. Tom works closely with clients, partners, and internal teams to ensure EMC delivers high-quality, innovative, and cost-effective energy and facility improvement solutions. Under his leadership, EMC continues to expand its service offerings, strengthen client relationships, and advance sustainable, energy-efficient infrastructure across the public and private sectors.
Outside of work, Tom enjoys golf, skiing, basketball and spending time with family and friends.

Eric joined EMC in 2014, bringing a strong background in operational planning, execution and leadership experience as a former Squad Leader in the United States Marine Corps. Highly organized and team-oriented, Eric serves as Operations Manager while also continuing in his roles as Electric Vehicle Charging Station Specialist and Lighting Developer. As Operations Manager, he oversees project related operations, supports project execution, and drives efficiency across the organization. In his EV role, Eric develops charging station projects throughout Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, and other territories as needed. He also audits and develops lighting projects, applying his keen eye for identifying energy efficiency improvements. In addition, Eric supports project management efforts and consistently proves to be an effective leader in every role he undertakes.
Outside of work, Eric enjoys playing golf and softball, as well as spending time with his family and friends.

Danielle joined EMC in 2025 with a strong managerial background in government, having held leadership roles at the Internal Revenue Service. There, she led cross-functional teams, managed complex budgets, ensured regulatory compliance, and oversaw audits and financial operations. With expertise in forecasting, risk management, and financial oversight, Danielle consistently delivers insights that support executive decision-making.
As Finance Manager at EMC, Danielle oversees accounts payable and receivable, prepares financial reports, monitors cash flow, manages financial audits, ensures regulatory compliance, and supports strategic planning and budgeting processes. She also assists with human resources functions, helping to manage employee relations, benefits administration, and HR compliance. Danielle plays a key role in maintaining the company’s financial health, operational efficiency, and organizational effectiveness.
Outside of work, Danielle enjoys traveling, spending time at the beach and in the mountains, and cherishing moments with family and friends.

Kirsten has been a key contributor to EMC operations since 2008 and currently serves as Office Manager, where she oversees project coordination, manages workflow tracking, and facilitates incentive programs through various utility initiatives. She excels at juggling multiple tasks, conducting follow-ups, and ensuring deadlines are met, keeping projects on track and supporting smooth day-to-day operations. Kirsten is recognized for her exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain operational efficiency across a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Outside of work, Kirsten enjoys swimming, crafting, and spending time with her family, friends, and German Shepherd.

As Project Support Administrator at EMC, Janet supports the project management team with a wide range of tasks. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Administration and an equivalent master’s degree in Project Management. Janet’s responsibilities include assisting with proposals, contracts, certificates of insurance, warranty books, and other project documentation, ensuring projects run smoothly and efficiently. She brings previous experience managing IT projects in South Africa and is recognized for being detail-oriented, organized, and adaptable.

Erik brings a diverse and highly technical background in Mechanical Engineering and Building Automation Control Systems to EMC. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University, where he also played DIV 3 lacrosse.
Prior to joining EMC, Erik served as Mechanical Engineering Supervisor at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for over five years, overseeing complex engineering projects and ensuring high-performance operational outcomes.
As EMC’s Senior Engineer, Erik leads the design and implementation of advanced building automation and energy systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. Erik designs and oversees HVAC, process, SCADA, lighting, and access control systems. He advises clients on energy efficiency strategies, measurement, and verification, while mentoring project teams and ensuring the successful delivery of complex engineering solutions.
Erik is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in ME, NH & VT, and also holds certifications in Tridium Niagara AX and N4, Certified Energy Manager (CEM), and Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP).
Outside of work, Erik enjoys sports and outdoor activities, including men’s league hockey and adventure dirt biking.

With over 13 years of experience at Siemens and an Associate’s Degree in HVAC (2012), Tyler brings deep technical expertise and strategic project development experience to EMC’s building automation and controls solutions across New Hampshire and Southern Maine.
Tyler began his career as an Automation Specialist, spending nine years installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex Building Management Systems (BMS). During this time, he developed advanced expertise in system optimization, controls integration, and diagnostics across K–12, healthcare, municipal, and higher education facilities.
He later advanced into leadership and client-facing roles, serving as Client Service Manager and Senior Service Account Executive. In these positions, he oversaw project execution, strengthened long-term customer relationships, and developed service agreements and capital improvement projects tailored to each client’s operational goals.
As Project Developer, Controls Specialist at EMC, Tyler focuses on identifying opportunities to enhance building performance, energy efficiency, and system reliability through smart controls solutions. He works closely with facility leaders to develop strategic upgrades and long-term plans that maximize value and operational performance.

Joe brings extensive expertise and hands-on experience in the HVAC trades to EMC, serving as the company’s Lead HVAC Specialist. He holds a Master’s license in Oil 1 & 2, Gas licenses over and under 500 BTU, and Mainstream Engineering Certification (EPA Clean Air), among other credentials.
With a background as an install and service technician in both mechanical and automation systems, Joe combines practical field experience with full design capabilities. He has deep knowledge of heat pumps, VRF systems, and complex HVAC solutions, enabling him to oversee projects from design through installation and long-term system maintenance. His technical skill and comprehensive understanding of HVAC systems make him an invaluable resource to EMC and its clients.

Adam has over 20 years of experience in the HVAC industry, with a strong background in both installation and service. He has also served as Viessmann Manufacturing Representative / Territory Sales Manager, where he managed technical solutions, client relationships, and project support across a wide region. Adam holds multiple licenses and certifications, including oil, propane, natural gas, and refrigeration, allowing him to provide comprehensive guidance on HVAC design, installation, and system performance. His expertise enhances EMC’s ability to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions for clients.
Outside of work, Adam enjoys mountain biking, fishing and spending time with his family.

Chris is a seasoned HVAC/R and facilities professional with over 14 years of experience in healthcare, commercial, and residential environments. Most recently, he led a team at a local hospital, managing the maintenance of over 900,000 square feet of critical hospital infrastructure, ensuring safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
Prior to that, Chris spent eight years with Siemens as an Engineering Specialist, Solutions Technician, and Service Technician, combining field service with project management responsibilities, including estimating, commissioning, and client coordination. Early-career experience in architectural drafting helped develop a strong attention to detail and technical problem-solving skills.
Chris holds associate degrees in Electrician Technology, HVAC/R, and Computer-Aided Drafting and Design from Eastern Maine Community College and has completed leadership development training. Known for being self-motivated, team-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement, he brings both technical expertise and leadership to every project.
A lifelong resident of Maine, Chris is passionate about serving the community and understanding the diverse needs across the state. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, fishing, and spending time with his wife and two daughters.

As our newest team member, Andrew serves as Project Developer and Solar Specialist, bringing over 15 years of experience in performance engineering, data analytics, project management, and measurement & verification within the solar industry. He has worked with large portfolios, improving production accuracy and developing tools and processes that enhance operational efficiency.
Andrew also brings expertise in process improvement, technical documentation, and hands-on troubleshooting from his early work in manufacturing. He holds a degree in Technology Management, is CTM certified, and maintains several technical and safety certifications, continually applying his skills to solve problems and advance project success.
Outside of work, Andrew enjoys many hobbies such as skiing, sailing, hiking, speaker design/building, carpentry/woodwork and spending time with his family.

Carl is a Master Electrician with extensive experience in the lighting and energy efficiency industry. He joined EMC in 2011 after several years exploring energy efficiency solutions and now manages and develops projects across New Hampshire and Massachusetts. In addition to reviewing opportunities throughout the state, Carl oversees the Small Business Programs for Eversource in NH, ensuring effective implementation and client satisfaction.

Jeff joined EMC’s development team in January 2024, bringing extensive experience in account development and project management. Prior to joining EMC, he served for two years as Sr. Account Development Representative with Siemens Industries, where he developed service plans for new customers across Maine and managed HVAC projects with a focus on the K–12 and healthcare markets. Before Siemens, Jeff spent 12 years in the payment processing industry with WEX Inc., holding various roles from customer service to sales.
Jeff is passionate about mentoring and coaching, actively supporting youth baseball and soccer programs. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his teenage sons, movies, music, and stand-up comedy.

Previously, he served as Director of Facilities and Transportation for a local school department and as an Account Engineer with Siemens, managing over 30 client accounts. At EMC, James project manages comprehensive, multi-measure projects across K-12, municipal, commercial, and institutional facilities, coordinating complex initiatives to enhance energy efficiency, system performance, and operational reliability.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of Southern Maine and holds certifications in oil, propane, and natural gas. Jon’s experience includes managing a service department for an HVAC company and serving as Director of Operations for a local school department.
He also served for six years in the Maine Army National Guard as a helicopter Crew Chief for a MEDEVAC unit, bringing leadership, operational expertise, and technical knowledge to every project.
Outside of work, Jon enjoys hunting, fishing, spending time at the gym and being with his family.
