Erik Rodstrom

Erik brings a diverse and highly technical background in Mechanical Engineering and Building Automation Control Systems to EMC. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University, where he also played DIV 3 lacrosse.

Prior to joining EMC, Erik served as Mechanical Engineering Supervisor at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for over five years, overseeing complex engineering projects and ensuring high-performance operational outcomes.

As EMC’s Senior Engineer, Erik leads the design and implementation of advanced building automation and energy systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. Erik designs and oversees HVAC, process, SCADA, lighting, and access control systems. He advises clients on energy efficiency strategies, measurement, and verification, while mentoring project teams and ensuring the successful delivery of complex engineering solutions.

Erik is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in ME, NH & VT, and also holds certifications in Tridium Niagara AX and N4, Certified Energy Manager (CEM), and Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP).

Outside of work, Erik enjoys sports and outdoor activities, including men’s league hockey and adventure dirt biking.
