After earning his BA from the University of Southern Maine, Tom built a career focused on energy reduction and facility improvement. For nearly 18 years, he specialized in developing and implementing more than $80 million in energy and operational solutions across the K–12, state, healthcare, higher education, and municipal markets. His project experience includes HVAC/R upgrades; biomass systems utilizing woodchip and pellet fuels; solar thermal and photovoltaic installations; advanced energy management system controls; roofing and window replacements; comprehensive lighting solutions; water conservation measures; central plant improvements; steam-to-hot-water conversions; and building envelope enhancements.
In 2021, Tom assumed leadership of EMC as President, where he provides strategic direction and operational oversight for the company. In this role, he is responsible for business development, project delivery, financial performance, and team leadership. Tom works closely with clients, partners, and internal teams to ensure EMC delivers high-quality, innovative, and cost-effective energy and facility improvement solutions. Under his leadership, EMC continues to expand its service offerings, strengthen client relationships, and advance sustainable, energy-efficient infrastructure across the public and private sectors.
Outside of work, Tom enjoys golf, skiing, basketball and spending time with family and friends.
